About Me

Hello! My name is Jennifer Halper (I prefer Jen) and I am a New York State and Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker

(LCSW-R) with a fully Telehealth private practice.  I am originally from Long Island, NY and now live in Colorado.

I have my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Molloy College and Master's degree in Social Work from New York

University. In addition, I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR  (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist

and have a Post-Master's Certificate in Child and Family therapy from NYU.

I am also a Certified Personal Trainer from ACE (American Council on Exercise) and focus on bridging the gap between physical and mental health, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.

My goal for therapy is to work towards helping my clients find the strength and resilience needed to get through what life brings to the table. I use multiple therapeutic approaches with each client and tailor therapy to each individual's needs. I take great pride in building a strong therapeutic relationship with the clients I see, as I believe that is the foundation of therapy. It can seem like a challenge to find a good therapist, but it is absolutely worth it to push forward until you find the best fit for you.

I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and families as a whole. I enjoy watching people grow throughout the therapeutic process, whether that entails mending strained relationships, decreasing negative thoughts or behaviors, increasing self-esteem, embarking on a new journey, or finding personal strength. My passion to help others is what motivates me daily.
